What is Arista?
Arista is a commercial insurance provider specialising in property, liability and motor classes of business. Arista offers brokers a genuine chance to work with an insurance provider that will design its processes around theirs in an effort to reduce the brokers’ frictional costs, and deliver security and service to Policyholders. For those brokers who work with Arista, we deliver an improved bottom line and a responsive market staffed by people with experience, technical knowledge and a willingness to trade.
Ownership
Arista has secured the support of Lloyd’s Underwriter Canopius and Equity Insurance Group both as investors and as insurers of the core underwriting capacity for commercial property, liability and motor classes of business.
Arista is owned by the two lead insurers and the management team. The Canopius Group holds the majority share, with Equity Insurance Group a significant investor and the
management team hold the residual balance.
Canopius and Equity are both underwriters at Lloyd’s, and as such share Lloyd’s Financial Rating Strength; A+.
Our Staff
The Arista team is led by Charles Earle who is the Chief Executive, and Lyn Carslake, the Deputy Chief Executive.
In a career spanning over 34 years, Charles’ insurance and risk management roles have been with both insurance companies and brokers. The most notable of his previous positions include Managing Director Commercial Lines at NIG, Managing Director at Windsor plc and Windsor Insurance Brokers and Underwriting Manager in Hong Kong and Singapore for New Zealand Insurance.

Office Locations
To enable close relationships with brokers, Arista has established regional offices of underwriters. Initial underwriting offices are located in Bristol, Manchester, Redhill and Southampton, providing underwriting expertise in key regional markets, close to brokers and where Arista can source high calibre staff.
The management team are based in Lombard Street, London; in the heart of the City of London, amongst the London offices of the insurance industry.
