ARISTA WORKS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH SSP TO DEVELOP NEW
IT SYSTEM
Innovative commercial lines underwriting organisation, Arista, has joined forces with Software
Solutions Partners (SSP), the UK’s leading software provider to the UK general insurance
market, to launch a new customised version of its SSP insight multi-functional IT system.
The Arista version of SSP insight supports commercial lines risks, full policy life-cycle
administration and is completely client centric. Arista will use SSP insight’s functionality to
deliver statements of fact for all policies, electronic distribution of all documentation and web
access for scheme brokers to self-service volume business.
In addition to the implementation of SSP insight, SSP will work with Arista to develop its etrading
functionality it will offer brokers.
Arista’s Chief Executive, Charles Earle, said about the new five year arrangement: “SSP insight
is already helping our experienced front line trading staff to provide unrivalled accuracy, speed
and consistency of delivery to the select group of independent regional brokers who are now
doing business with Arista. SSP is an experienced and innovative provider of insurance
technology and they also bring an additional perspective on brokers’ process needs. We are

further develop the system and our website in order to deliver an improved and friction free
service to brokers.”

Arista, launched last year by Charles Earle and Deputy CEO Lyn Carslake, supported by a
strong team of experienced professionals from a number of large UK insurance companies, is
focusing on broker-administered commercial business in the UK and intends to arrange
agencies with a select panel of independent brokers throughout 2007. In the medium to long
term the new venture will have the capacity to write in excess of £250 million worth of business.
