Arista Strengthens Southern Underwriting Teams

ARISTA STRENGTHENS SOUTHERN UNDERWRITING TEAMS

Commercial lines underwriting organisation Arista has appointed James Sawkins as senior underwriter, and Esther Lavender-Jones and Claire McCallum as underwriters as part of its ongoing development strategy.

Based at Redhill, Mr. Sawkins, who has been in the industry for 19 years, will be responsible for overseeing the underwriting practices of the team and ensuring a high level of service for brokers.

Claire McCallum, also based in Arista’s Redhill office, has been appointed as an underwriter. Prior to joining the company, Ms. McCallum worked as an account handler at Goss & Co Ltd (part of the Jelf Group) and as a senior underwriter for Royal & SunAlliance.

Joining Arista as an underwriter from Mount Guard Insurance & Financial Consultants in Cornwall, is Esther Lavender-Jones. Also previously employed by NIG in Bristol, Ms. Lavender-Jones has 18 years experience in the industry and will enable Arista to develop very specific relationships in the South West.

We need the right mix of experience, knowledge and attitude to ensure that we deliver the highest level of service and the best products to our brokers. The appointment of James, Claire and Esther most certainly provides this mix and our brokers can be confident that they will be very well serviced by these new additions to the Arista team.”
