PRESS RELEASE
Arista To Enhance Efficiency With Roll Out Of Online Trading
Arista Insurance, the commercial lines underwriting operation, has begun the roll-out of its new online trading facility by providing brokers with access to its trades and professionals policy via a simple to use system.
Arista’s online system offers instant package quotes with the ability to review and amend if required, instantly emailed statement of facts for all contracts and the immediate issue of policy documents via email when the quote is accepted.
Commenting on the launch, Dave Cheeseman, head of business systems for Arista said: “We have always been clear about our overriding philosophy of making the lives of our brokers easier and removing frictional costs and so providing an online solution was an inevitable step for us. We are using technology to replicate the same service levels, professionalism and efficiency that our customers have come to expect from us. As a result brokers can now access a cost effective way of placing package business with us.”
He added: “The system is very straightforward to use. A trades and professionals policy can be input in three minutes, saving a lot of time and therefore money. But this system is not a substitute for our experienced team of regional based underwriters, in fact each method of trading will compliment the other because our underwriting teams in Bristol, Manchester, Redhill and Southampton will handle any referrals for their brokers.”
Arista’s online trades and professionals product provides quotes for all 300 trades and includes cover for temporary employees and bona fide subcontractors. Legal expenses is also included as standard.
The online trading system will be further developed over the coming months to include more products; property owners, commercial vehicle, retail and office. Additional functionality, going live during 2008, will include integrated referrals, mid-term adjustments (MTAs) and renewals, making Arista’s a full cycle solution.
Arista selected Edge IPK, leaders in service orientated architecture presentation layer technology, to develop on-line trading facility. Edge IPK worked closely with Arista to develop the system in a just over four months and transfer knowledge to Arista’s in-house business analysts to enable future product delivery. The technology transfers data directly into Arista’s back-end system, removing any requirement to re-key and potential errors.
