PRESS RELEASE

Arista's South of England Growth Prompts New Appointments

Arista Insurance, the commercial lines underwriting operation, has appointed Stuart Bulbrooke as southern regional manager and Nia James as a senior commercial underwriter at the company’s Southampton branch.

Mr Bulbrooke, who joins after 17 years with ACE Europe, will be responsible for ensuring implementation of Arista’s strategy in the south of England and raising the company’s profile throughout the region.

Reporting to Mr Bulbrooke is Nia James who, as senior commercial underwriter, will be responsible for developing business in the south region and underwriting property, casualty and motor trade risks for the region’s brokers.

Arista’s Chief Executive Officer Charles Earle said: “When we opened our Southampton branch early last year, we put a senior and high quality team in place, and it was always our plan to bring in more good people as our business in the region expanded. Stuart’s experience and Nia’s capability will be excellent additions to our already skilled team. Both bring significant expertise and a sound knowledge of the region and its brokers needs. Their arrival signifies our ongoing commitment to develop our local presence. This enables us to work closely with our partners and to support and assist them in achieving their own business goals.”

Nia joins Arista from Axa where she was a development underwriter covering the Southampton and Bournemouth market. Mr Bulbrooke has also worked for Royal Insurance where he was head of commercial development underwriting (national brokers). Commenting on his appointment, he added: “Arista’s philosophy of providing a first-class, personal service and quality products to its brokers is one which I totally subscribe to and so it is with great enthusiasm that I join this professional team. I very much look forward to contributing to the planned growth of the company and I know that Nia is too.”

Arista opened its Southampton branch in February 2007. The office leads business opportunities in the south of England, working alongside the Redhill branch covering the south east, Bristol covering the south west and Manchester covering the north.
