Arista Opens Door Wider To Online Tading For Independent Brokers At BIBA 2008
Commercial lines underwriter Arista announced on the first day of the BIBA 2008 Conference that its doors are now open for the first time to a wider range of independent UK brokers looking to trade online.
Arista’s online trading platform was initially launched in February, but was only available to existing Arista brokers at that time. However following a very successful trial, a strategic decision was made to make the facility fully available to all independent UK insurance brokers, subject to acceptance criteria.
The platform gives brokers access to instant package quotes with the ability to review and amend if required. In addition, a statement of facts for all contracts is emailed to brokers instantly and policy documents are issued immediately via email when the quote is accepted.
The products currently available online are Trades & Professionals – which provides quotes for all 300 trades and includes cover for temporary employees and bona fide subcontractors – and Property Owners. Arista’s other package products are due to go live online shortly.
Arista currently works with nearly 200 registered brokers who can trade both online for package products, and access the complete product range via Arista’s regional office and home-based underwriter network. The roll-out of the online trading platform will now provide instant access to Arista’s package products for the whole independent broking community.
