Arista Boosts Team For Northern Brokers
Arista Insurance, the commercial lines underwriting operation, has made three new appointments to its North West region which opened in Manchester in January this year under the supervision of regional manager Paul Dooley.
Pauline Spencer has been appointed as senior fleet underwriter responsible for underwriting all classes of commercial motor business. Peter Howard and Martin Hyde join as senior underwriters, dealing with the development and underwriting of all other commercial lines business.
Commenting on the appointments, Arista’s CEO Charles Earle said: “We have experienced tremendous growth in our southern operations over the past 12 months and are now aiming to replicate this for our northern based brokers. Paul has already started to generate significant relationships with brokers and with the arrival of Pauline, Peter and Martin he is now in a great position to achieve our ambitious targets for the region.”
Prior to joining Arista, Ms Spencer was technical team leader with NIG and has also been a head office motor controller with Independent Insurance. Mr Howard was senior underwriter with NIG where he was employed for 10 years following a period with Royal & SunAlliance, while Mr Hyde was previously a senior development underwriter for Chubb and has also worked for Brit and AXA.
Mr Dooley added: “My main priority on joining Arista was to recruit the best team I could to ensure that brokers in the north could be certain of the same level of service that we provide from our southern operations. Pauline, Peter and Martin have in excess of 50 years’ experience between them. Add to this our unique on and offline proposition designed to reduce unnecessary frictional costs and our brokers can be confident that they will have the expertise, systems and service they need to make a real difference to them and their clients.“
Last month Arista announced the launch of its online trading facility which offers instant package quotes with the ability to review and amend if required, emailed statement of facts for all contracts at the press of a button and the immediate issue of policy documents via email when the quote is accepted.
