Increased Underwriting Team For Arista's Northern Brokers
Commercial lines underwriting operation Arista Insurance has further expanded its underwriting team in the North with the appointment of Gary Armstrong and Declan Kinsella.
Mr Armstrong has been recruited as senior underwriter and will be responsible for developing business, building relationships with brokers in the Northern region and supporting the rest of the Northern underwriting team. Reporting to Paul Dooley, Regional Manager, he joins from NIG where he was also a senior underwriter.
Mr Kinsella joins as an underwriter from Brit Insurance. His role will involve providing dedicated technical support to Arista’s northern based broker panel and he will also report to Mr Dooley.
Commenting on the appointments, Arista regional manager Paul Dooley said: “We have achieved tremendous results in the North since the opening of our Manchester office in January and are delighted with the feedback we are receiving from brokers. However this success is dependent on us growing the team which provides the service and expertise in line with the accelerating growth of the business. The arrival of Gary and Declan is a real boost to our team in the North and our brokers in the region, all off whom will benefit greatly from their respective experience.”
With 21 years’ industry experience, Mr Armstrong has also worked for AXA and GRE while Mr Kinsella has worked in the insurance industry for nine years and his previous employers include Allianz Cornhill and AIG. These latest appointments bring the total Arista headcount to over 75 staff serving its 200-strong broker panel.
